Welcome baby Caleb!

After a long 9 months (2 weeks + 1 day!) little Caleb joined the world.  I spent a lovely morning with Caleb and his adoring parents when he was just 8 days new.  Such a gorgeous, sweet natured chap, just like his Mum & Dad!

I actually photographed Caleb’s parent’s wedding back on October 2011 (remember Dani and Jonny?!) and I was absolutely honoured to be invited to photograph the beautiful new addition to their family.

Congratulations again to you all on the safe arrival of such a sweet boy.

These are the kind of newborn photos that I love – natural and soft, showing off the true beauty of newborns, fluffy hair, curled toes and peeling skin.  While I do like the more “posed” styles I’m not a big fan of Anne Geddes-esque shots of babies in flower pots and on scales.  When was the last time you visited a friend and their baby way happy snoozing on the kitchen worksurface in their Salter scales…?

Babies are precious and fragile and that’s how they should be shown.  I think, anyway!
